So you've just found Basingstoke Girls Rugby... welcome to the world's greatest game! We'd love you (or your daughter) to join our club - here's a helpful one pager to help you work out what happens next!

What We Offer

Women's and Girls Rugby is the fastest growing sport in the world. Since the first fully professional contracts were distributed in 2016, the Women's game has gone from strength to strength, with the success of the Red Roses (England's Senior Women's team) showing girls of all ages and backgrounds that there's a pathway within our wonderful game. As a club, we are incredibly proud to have a full Girls Rugby offering, with Girls-only sides from U12 to U18. Outside of this, we have mixed rugby for rugby players between 5 and 10, while we also have an ever-growing Women's section.

Why Should You Join?

As a club, we are firm believers that all girls should be involved in regular exercise – the benefits of exercise are countless and well documented, which you don’t need to hear from us! As for why rugby – the values of the game are ingrained into the core of everything around it. Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Enjoyment are the five pillars of the game, which are a very sound basis to build resilience and form genuinely good people. We can’t wait to see you at the club soon!

I Want To Get Involved – What Happens Next?

All you need to do is turn up! You don’t need any prior experience – so long as you bring appropriate sports wear and trainers (or boots, if you have them), we’ve got you covered! For questions about a specific age group, visit the relevant Team Page (linked above) and contact either a coach or a team manager.
