Basingstoke RFC U13s is a fantastic place for boys to continue their rugby journey in a fun, supportive and inclusive environment. As players move into the U13 age group, rugby becomes even more exciting, with opportunities to further develop technical skills, tactical awareness, teamwork and confidence, while continuing to enjoy the game with friends.
At Basingstoke RFC, we focus on helping every player reach their potential, regardless of experience or ability. Whether your son has been playing for years or is completely new to the sport, he will be welcomed into a friendly squad where effort, enjoyment and personal development are celebrated.

Led by a team of qualified and dedicated England RFU volunteer coaches, we are committed to providing a safe, enjoyable and challenging rugby experience for all players. Our aim is to help every child build skills, confidence and lifelong friendships, while creating an exciting pathway for the rugby stars of the future.
We train on Tuesday evenings from 6:15pm to 7:45pm at Down Grange, the home of Basingstoke RFC. During the season, most Sunday mornings are dedicated to fixtures, festivals and competitive matches, giving players regular opportunities to put their skills into practice and represent the club in a positive and supportive environment.
Our squad consists of around 30 players, bringing together boys with a wide range of experience and ability levels. Whether they have been playing rugby for years or are completely new to the game, every player is encouraged to develop their skills, build confidence, support their teammates and, most importantly, enjoy their rugby.
We are always delighted to welcome new players throughout the season. No previous rugby experience is necessary, and the first two sessions are free, giving boys the opportunity to come along, meet the team and see what rugby is all about.
As a club, we are passionate about making rugby accessible to everyone. We understand that rugby kit can be expensive, which is why we operate a popular boot exchange and kit swap scheme, available near the club shop on Wednesday evenings and Sundays.
As rugby is played outdoors throughout the year, please ensure players bring clothing suitable for the weather conditions, whether that's waterproofs for cold, wet winter evenings or sun protection and plenty of water during warmer months.
All your child needs to bring is a water bottle, enthusiasm and a smile!
