Welcome to the home of the Basingstoke Under 8’s Rugby Team
Basingstoke RFC is a fantastic place for any boys or girls to start playing rugby. It is a great way to get your children running around and keeping fit and healthy, whilst having lots of FUN with a structured programme of non-contact games that will keep them excited but also start to build their core rugby skills. It is also about creating an environment where the children start to understand the key values that rugby provides - TEAMWORK, RESPECT, ENJOYMENT, DISCIPLINE, SPORTSMANSHIP.
As a group of qualified England RFU volunteer coaches, we promise a commitment to giving your children a great first rugby experience, and hopefully create a future pathway for our rugby stars of the future. Training is at home on Sunday morning's starting at 10:00am and finishing at 11:00am. We also have home and away fixtures throughout the season.
All that is required for the session is a water bottle and a smile -
You will need to register your child with the team manager before your first session (see detail below). Your child needs to be in year 3 at school and turning 8 in the next school year to start playing in our U8 team.
