Basingstoke Rugby Football Club is delighted to be supporting the sustainability agenda thanks to a new partnership with PAC Copywriting.

The Hook-based business is sponsoring reusable drinking cups for the 2022-2023 season, helping the club to reduce its reliance on single-use disposable plastic cups. It is estimated that in the UK each year we dispose of over 100m of these cups – this new initiative will help contribute to reducing that number. The cups, which come in pint and half-pint sizes, are available for a £1 deposit, which is refundable on return of the cup.

PAC Copywriting was established in 2004 with the objective of helping clients find their voice in the written word. The business covers a full range of copywriting requirements including case studies, website copy, press releases, marketing collateral, whitepapers, book editing, along with more personal content such as CV’s and LinkedIn profiles.

Commenting on the partnership, Pru Gayton, of PAC Copywriting said: “I’m passionate about our environment and every little bit we can do to protect it, is a step in the right direction. As a long-time supporter of the club, I was keen to get involved and reduce the amount of plastic we were sending to landfill. This new initiative not only helps with that but also promotes our teams too! I look forward to seeing the new cups at a game soon!”

The production of the cups has been supported by Harlequin Clothing, Print & Signage, a local business that specialises in all branding requirements. The team at Harlequin designed the artwork and arranged the printing of the cups.
