Background

Down Grange Rugby Facility

Basingstoke Rugby Club is a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) that was established in 1948. It has for a number of years operated a very popular and successful programme delivering rugby coaching sessions to schools (both primary and secondary) in the borough of Basingstoke & Deane.

Aim

The aim is to introduce boys and girls of all ages living in the borough to healthy recreation and exercise in general and the sport of rugby football in particular.

Our programme is delivered by RFU qualified level 2 and 3 coaches who deliver pre-planned coaching sessions in both curriculum time and after school clubs. We also organise and host the Schools CV league and tag rugby festivals.

All sessions are delivered using Rugby’s Core Values:

Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline, Sportsmanship
